Police are appealing for information after a horse was found abandoned in Kidderminster. The horse was in such a poor condition that it had to be put down. It was found wandering on Habberley Road, near the entrance to Habberley Valley at about 6.40am on Tuesday 3rd June.
Sergeant Justin Taylor of Kidderminster Police said: "The horse had awful injuries, particularly to its hooves and nose. It had clearly been suffering for some time. A vet was called out but the kindest thing was to end its suffering and it was humanely put it to sleep. It is appalling that it had just been left to die. Someone must know who this horse belonged to and we are appealing for anyone with information to contact us on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
