Post an appeal for information with or without a reward
An insurance industry maxim identifies the two most important factors behind recovery as publicity and reward. The police too are constantly looking to the general public to aid in the recovery of missing people and assets and in solving crimes. No one should ever underestimate the man in the street - someone, somewhere has the information that you seek.
We believe that the richer an appeal is in information the more effective that it will be. As well as text you can add links and as many images as you like. And each Missing List appeal (if accompanied with a postcode) is automatically mapped and accessible by date and category.
If you are trying to recover someone or something precious to you, first get in touch with the police, and your insurance company and then put it on the Missing List and get the eyes and ears of the Internet community to working in your cause.
How to post appeals
To use the appeal facility you need to Register with us and when your account is opened simply go to the Civilian Section menu on the left hand margin of the page and choose Post an Appeal, then fill in all the details of your loss, add images if you have them, and click Submit, its as simple as that. All the appeals are viewable and editable from your Personal Account where email responses can be monitored. To minimise risks associated with frivolous and malicious abuses the system allows anonymous appeals.
