The victims of a burglary have today offered a £1000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the offenders. Two cars were stolen following the burglary in North Greetwell. It is thought that the cars may have been taken from around 0330 hrs on the 28th November.
The first car, a yellow Subaru was later found in collision with a lamp post on Queen Mary Road in Lincoln at 0450 hrs. A man was seen running from the car towards Talawney Crescent.
The second car, a blue Audi Quattro, was low on petrol so it is thought that the offender(s) may have needed to stop at a filling station.
DS Jim Hodgson said:
"This has clearly been a very distressing time for the victims. We will do all we can to bring the perpetrators to justice and we are appealing to the public to help us do this.
"If you witnessed the collision on Queen Mary Road, or you have suspicions as to those responsible for the burglary, we would urge you to let us know.
"The reward offered by the victims will be paid for information that directly leads to the conviction of the offenders."
Information should be left with Lincolnshire Police for the attention of DS Hodgson on 01522 532222.
