Police searching for a 14-year-old boy from Carlisle who has been missing for more than a week believe he may have travelled to the Blackpool area.
Ryan Greensmith, nicknamed Greenhead, of Kingmoor Road, Carlisle was reported missing from home by his mother at around 4pm on Monday 29th September. He is believed to be staying with friends however has made no contact with his family or police for a number of days.
Information from the public following media appeals suggest he may have travelled to the Blackpool area and officers are appealing to anyone in the area who knows where he is or thinks they may have seen him to contact them.
Officers have had a good response to public appeals and are following a number of leads but concerns for Ryan's welfare are growing as he went missing with no spare clothes of money in his possession.
Ryan is described as white with pale skin, 5 feet 7 inches tall, of a thin build with short fair blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt, a black Nike tracksuit and white trainer shoes.
Someone out there knows where Ryan is and who he is staying with so officers are appealing to these people to get in contact to reassure his family that Ryan is safe and well.
Anyone who thinks they may have seen Ryan or has any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 0845 33 00 247.
