Police have appealed to the public, and in particular those working in the antiques and collectibles trades, to keep an eye out for clocks that are believed to have been stolen during a collector''s house move between Cornwall and Herefordshire.

Police believe the theft may have occurred between Monday 31st March and Wednesday 2nd April 2008, when the collector moved from St. Austell (Cornwall) to Shobdon (Herefordshire). The items stolen comprised:

  1. A tortoiseshell and inlaid brass clock, made by James Parr of Paris. It is 20" high and has a slight chip and crack in the dial. The pendulum was missing at the time of the theft (picture attached)
  2. A Skeleton clock - a James Parr of Paris apprentice piece (no picture available)
  3. A Viennese Stringer clock, 26" in length (no picture available)
