A family which has been left devastated after their puppy was stolen is offering a £300 reward for its safe return.
Ollie, a 13-week-old blue roan cocker spaniel, was stolen from his kennel in the back garden of the home of the Hall family in Crackenthorpe, near Appleby, overnight on Sunday (August 17).
Dougi Hall said the family was "very upset" about the loss of the puppy which they had only bought two weeks previously.
"We think the thieves have come over the wall at the back of the house. We don't know if they came specifically for the dog or just took their chance when they saw him. We are all devastated as we hadn't even had chance to take him out for a walk yet as he had only just had his last injections," said Mr Hall.
Ollie is a pedigree breed worth £550 and Mr Hall is offering a £300 reward for his return. "We can't believe this has happened and we just want him home safely," said Mr Hall.
Anyone with information is asked to call Mr Hall on 07802 238694 or Cumbria Police on 0845 3300247.
