  • Burglary of licensed firearms dealership: Cregg, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary

    Gardaí at Carrick on Suir are investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred in the early hours of this morning at a licensed firearms dealership in Cregg, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary.

    At approximately 1.30am  4 men were waiting outside the premises when the owners (a couple) returned home from a night out. 

    At least one of these men was armed with a firearm.

    The owners were taken into the house which had 2 other occupants.

  • Aggravated burglary by up to five offenders: Tattershall Road, Boston

    Police are appealing for information regarding an aggravated burglary, carried out at a property in Tattershall Road, Boston last night, Wednesday 7 January 2009 around 6.15pm. 

    The incident involved four or five offenders, all thought to be men wearing black clothing, ski masks or balaclavas and carrying what have been described as pick-axe handles, crow bars and spades.

  • Pensioner injured in aggravated burglary: Bolton

    A pensioner has suffered a broken collarbone after being subjected to an aggravated robbery in his own home in Bolton.

    At about 10.20pm on Tuesday 6 January 2009, the man, 67, was in his house on Thicketford Road in Tonge Moor.

    A man broke in and went upstairs, confronting the victim and demanding cash from him.

    The offender was verbally abusive to his victim, who went to the bedroom to get money.

    When the money was handed over, the offender punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall over.

  • A man was attacked and burgled: Wigan

    On Monday 5 January 2009, the victim was at home asleep when at about 3am he was disturbed by men in his house on Douglas Bank Drive, Wigan.

    The two men, who had already ransacked other rooms, punched him in the face a number of times, demanding cash, keys to his van and bank cards.

    He was tied up with a telephone cable and the men continued to search the rest of the house.

    They stole a number of items including a credit card, for which they demanded the pin number.

    Detectives continuing to investigate an aggravated burglary in Christchurch are now releasing pictures of a black BMW M3 motorcar that was stolen at the time.

    Just after 6pm on Saturday, 13 December 2008, a 26-year-old man was tied up and assaulted at his house on River Way in Christchurch by three men who also tied up the victim's girlfriend before the three men made off.

  • Aggravated burglary: Kidmore End, Reading

    Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured in a burglary this morning (23/12/2008) in Kidmore End.

    At around 2am burglars broke into a house through a ground floor window and threatened two men who were in the house, demanding that they give them their money.

    The men, aged 21 and 23, were assaulted and suffered minor injuries before they handed over some cash.

    Det Sgt John Pennycook, investigating the burglary, said:

    Sleeping woman attacked, jewellery taken: Catford

    Detectives investigating an attack on a woman whilst she slept at her home have released images of distinctive jewellery they believe was taken during the incident.

    Officers were called to the home in Blythe Vale, Catford, at 10:30am on Tuesday 11 November after builders found her unconscious in her bedroom.

    The London Ambulance Service attended and took the woman, aged 48, to hospital where she remains, receiving treatment for fractures to the skull and jaw.

  • Aggravated burglary: Ravenhill Avenue

    Detectives in East Belfast are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at the home of two elderly brothers in the Ravenhill Avenue area in the early hours of this morning (Monday 22 December).

    Shortly before 1:30am one of the occupants heard a door being smashed and when he investigated, was confronted by three unknown males.

    One of them punched the 69 year old in face, pulled his jacket over his head and continued to punch him and demanding money.

  • Householder tied up, home ransacked: Newtownbreda Road

    Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at his home in the Newtownbreda Road area of Belfast last night (Monday 15 December).

    Four or five males came to the man's door at about 8.30pm, attacked him, tied him up and then ransacked his home.

    They were wearing balaclavas or masks and one was believed to be carrying a firearm. One of the males may have a goatee beard.

    They made off in a silver Mercedes.

  • Burglars disturbed by care worker: Toragh Park, Newry

    Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at the home of an 87-year-old female in the Toragh Park area of Newry on Saturday 13 December.

    Shortly after 8pm, three masked males forced their way into the property.

    It is understood that all of the males were wearing dark coloured clothing and one was armed with a knife.

    The intruders fled empty handed when disturbed by the lady's care worker.

  • Aggravated burglary at jewellers: Church Street, Rickmansworth

    POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after an aggravated burglary at Amore jewellery shop in Rickmansworth on Friday December 19.

    It happened at just before 5pm on Church Street. A silver or grey Jaguar parked opposite the Amore jewellers shop.

    Three men left the vehicle carrying shoulder holdalls and entered the shop. They smashed the glass cabinets, taking jewellery.

    Detectives continuing to investigate an aggravated burglary in Christchurch are now releasing pictures of three weapons recovered from the house as they renew their appeal for public help.

    Just after 6pm on Saturday, 13 December 2008, a 26-year-old man was tied up and assaulted at his house on River Way in Christchurch by three men who also tied up the victim's girlfriend before the three men made off.

  • Attempted store break-in: Lorton Street, Cockermouth

    Between 4.30pm on Saturday 13 December, and 8.45am on Monday 15 December, 2008 an attempted break-in occurred at Country Pine & Oak, on Lorton Street Cockermouth.

    The offender(s) tried to gain entry by forcing a side door to the premises,although were believed to have been disturbed by the alarm activating, at approximately 1.30am.

    Police are appealing for any information or witness's to make contact with them on 0845 33 00 247, or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

  • Knife gang use spray in violent burglary: Aylminton Walk, Lawrence Weston

    Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Lawrence Weston, Bristol, on Monday 15th December 2008.

    The incident occurred at about 5.30pm when four males forced entry via the front door of a house in Aylminton Walk.

    The occupants were inside when the men entered.

    One man went upstairs where he sprayed a female in the face with an unknown substance. He then stole a Sony laptop, an LG Viewty mobile phone, and a gold bracelet.

  • Armed burglary: Thursby Street, Bradford

    Bradford South police are appealing for information after a burglary on Thursby Street on Sunday evening.

    At around 8:30pm on Sunday the 22-year old victim answered the door five men who assaulted the victim and barged into his house.

    Two of the men, who were armed with a knife and what is believed to have been an imitation firearm, restrained the victim whilst the rest of the men searched the house and stole a DVD player, a mobile phone, a digital camera and a small amount of cash.
