- Puppies stolen from farm: Keinton Mandeville
Police are appealing for information following the theft of four puppies from a farm in Keinton Mandeville.
The incident at the farm occurred overnight between Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 January, 2009.
Four five-month-old puppies which were a border terrier and Jack Russel cross were stolen from a kennel.
No photographs are available of the puppies but they are shades of brown, tan and black with white chests and are described as looking like border terriers with pointy noses.
- Man Attacked By Dog: Great Western Way, Hereford
A young man walking along the Great Western Way in Hereford required hospital treatment after he was attacked by a dog roaming loose.
The incident happened between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday 27th December 2008 as the 21-year old was walking along the "green bridge" section of the Great Western Way footpath. He was approached by a dark-coloured Staffordshire-sized dog, which jumped up at him and bit him under his left eye.
- Eddie the dog stolen from outside shop: High Street, Roade
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a dog being stolen from outside a shop in Roade on Wednesday 10 December.
The dog was taken at around 10.45am from outside T&H Newsagents in High Street, Roade.
Eddie, is a brown cross border/lakeland terrier and is six months old, he has been microchipped.
He was wearing a brown collar and had a chip tag and name tag with its owners telephone number.
- Japanese puppy stolen: Lambton Road, Middlesbrough
Police are appealing for information following the theft of a Japanese Akita puppy from a back garden in Lambton Road, Middlesbrough.
It is believed that someone jumped over the rear garden fence, removed the 4-5 month old, white puppy from its pen and then made off between 5pm and 9pm on Sunday 9th November.

- Yorkshire terrier found safe and well: Dancey Road, Cheltenham
Churchdown Police are appealing for the owners of a lost Yorkshire Terrier to contact the Cheltenham Animal Shelter.
The dog was found in Dancey Road yesterday, Thursday December 18, and taken to the Police station by a local resident.
It has since been taken to the Cheltenham Animal Shelter to be looked after until its owners come forward.
Gloucestershire Police would like to take this opportunity to remind residents that reports of stray or lost dogs should be directed to the district council.
- Dog kicked to death: Pilrig Park, Edinburgh (£500.00 Reward)
A reward has been offered in a bid to track down individuals who kicked a dog to death in an Edinburgh park.
Cairn terrier Megan was attacked by three drunks in Pilrig Park who inflicted injuries that led to her having to be put to sleep. The attackers then turned on her owner when he tried to intervene.
A local businessman was so upset by the shocking story in yesterday's Evening News that he has offered to put up £500 to catch those responsible.
- Two dogs poisoned: Ironbridge (£500.00 Reward)
Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two dogs.
It is thought the black Labrador and Springer spaniel, who were found in a distressed state by their owner, had been deliberately poisoned.
A vet was called to the owner's home in Ironbridge last Thursday but nothing could be done to save the family pets. Police said the animals had swallowed an unknown substance which had been mixed with food and left in the garden, which is also used by children.
Officers said it was fortunate the children did not find the poison first.
- Two border terriers stolen: Pontybodkin, North Wales (£400.00 Reward)
Police and the owner of two dogs that were stolen from the Mold area are renewing their force-wide appeal for information leading to the safe return of the dogs.
A month ago, two pedigree border terriers were stolen from the Pontybodkin area, near Mold, from their kennels on land belonging to the owner. Police inquiries continue and although an appeal has been made, the owner of the dogs is now offering a financial reward leading to their safe recovery.
- Bulldog puppies stolen: Kenilworth (£15,000.00 Reward)
Reward rises to £15,000 for bulldog puppies; a woman is offering a reward of £15,000 for the safe return of six bulldog puppies which were stolen from her Warwickshire home.
The pedigree dogs, which have red, white and black markings, were taken on 13 April from kennels near Kenilworth.
Caroline Aldersley had already offered a £10,000 reward, but increased the amount as she became more desperate to see the puppies again.
Anyone with information about the theft should contact Warwickshire Police.
- Dog stolen: Kingscombe, Devon
Police are appealing for information after the theft of a pet dog from a garden in Gurney Slade.
The incident occurred between 6pm on Tuesday 18th November 2008 and 8.30am the next day.
The dog, a black and white collie called 'Dart', was locked in her kennel in the garden of the premises situated in Kingscombe.
The padlock on the kennel had been forced open and it appears bolt-cutters were used.
- Theft of lurcher: Church Road, Little Berkhampstead
Hertfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a beige lurcher dog was stolen from outside a shop in Little Berkhampstead village on Monday November 17.
It happened at about 1.15pm on Church Road in the village, near Hertford.
The dog's owner, a 21-year-old woman from Hatfield, left the 8-month-old dog tied up outside the village shop.
But, when she returned, the dog had gone.

- Reward offered to find driver who killed dog: Askam-in-Furness, Staffs
The owner of a staffordshire terrier which was killed in a hit and run in Askam-in-Furness last week has spoken out in a bid to find the driver.
Michelle Irving, 35, from Askam, was walking her dog, Lucy, along Duke Street just after midnight on Wednesday 19, November when it was hit by a grey/silver vehicle which failed to stop.
Despite urgent veterinary treatment sadly the four-year-old dog did not survive the collision and Police are appealing for the public's help to try and trace the offender.
- Reward offered as labrador puppy stolen: Appleton
The owners of a puppy stolen in a burglary are making an appeal for her to be returned. A reward of unspecified value has been offered. Muffin was stolen after a property was burgled in Appleton.
Between 1.45pm and 4.30pm burglars broke into a house in Eaton Road, Appleton and stole, a Hitachi flat screen television and some jewellery, including a Cartier tank watch, emerald cluster ring, a pearl necklace and some Trifari black and gold costume jewellery, as well as the puppy.

- Puppies stolen: Chipping Sodbury
Police have issued an appeal for the public's help to trace a litter of stolen puppies, taken from the Chipping Sodbury area.
The Cocker Spaniel puppies - all 10 weeks old - were taken from Winchcombe Farm, Little Sodbury End sometime between 7-8pm on Thursday November 6.
Taken during the incident were: two brown dogs, a black dog, grey dog and a black bitch.
The mother of the pups remains with the owner who fears the puppies may be at some time, offered for sale.
- Theft of Jack Russell dog: Kirton
Police are appealing for sightings of suspicious activity or vehicles in the Seadyke Road area of Kirton following the theft of a dog between 6.50am and 11.30am on Tuesday 21 October 2008.
The white and tan Jack Russell cross, named Dexter, was stolen from a secured dog pen in the garden of a property in Seadyke Road.
Police are appealing to people living in or passing through the area who saw suspicious individuals or vehicles to come forward.
