- Cat shot with air rifle loses leg: Macduff
Grampian Police are investigating a Cat being shot with an Air Rifle in Macduff.
The incident occurred around midday on Saturday 3 January 2009 near Crook O' Ness, Macduff
As a result of the incident, Willow the Cat underwent surgery to amputate her front leg
Grampian Police are keen to trace any one in the vicinity who witnessed the incident.
- Dog attack, killed cat: Great Broughton, Cockermouth
At approximately 5pm on 22 December 2008 in the garden of a property in Great Broughton, Cockermouth a dog and male owner were attacked by a brown with white patches whippet/terrier type dog.
The dog went on to kill the domestic cat at the property.
Anyone with any information as to the identity of dog and/or owners should ring Cockermouth Police station on 0845 33 00 247.
- Dog set on cat: Dunkeld Close, Hardwick
Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in which a cat was attacked by a dog.
Police believe there is a possibility that the dog was incited to attack the cat by it's owners.
The incident took place on Monday 8th December at around 5.30pm at Dunkeld Close in Hardwick, Stockton.
The small black dog was with two teenage boys at the time, thought to be aged around fifteen or sixteen.
A neighbour found the cat and returned it to it's owner.
- Cats shot by airgun yobs: Whitby
A £500 reward has been offered for information leading to the conviction of sick yobs who shot two cats in Whitby. It is believed an air rifle was used.
One of the cats, Poppy, needed extensive surgery, has lost the sight in one eye, and will be left will extensive scarring. Felix, the other cat, will also need treatment after being shot in the cheek.
The reward is offered by Darren Jones, of Derwent Road, on behalf of his parents. He said were very distressed when they found out about the incident which happened on Monday night.
- Name of cat killer sought: Honiton (£200.00 Reward)
A Honiton woman is offering a £200 reward - for the name of the person who shot one of her cats and frightened another to death.
JT, a black and white male cat, was found dead near Beggars Lane at around 9pm last Sunday. Nearby lay the body of JT's brother, Max, whom it is thought died from shock.
Sarah Pefchel, of St Leonard's Road, Honiton, believes a pellet from an air rifle shot through one of JT's lungs, causing him to die of asphyxiation.
Two cyclists spotted JT's body and raised the alarm at around 9pm.
- Reward Offered in Animal Cruelty Case: Long Eaton (£250.00 Reward)
A reward of £250 is being offered for information on recent animal attacks in the Long Eaton area.
The attacks have focused on Florence Avenue, Long Eaton, where local cats have been severely injured.
Mark Pointez's cat, eight year-old Casper, has been attacked twice and Mr Pointez has paid £3,000 in vets bills to keep his pet alive.
Now a donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has offered £250 to anyone with information that leads to a successful conviction.
- HMS Belfast's Cat Drowned: London
Detectives investigating the drowning of one of HMS Belfast's resident cats in February have issued a CCTV image of three people they would like to trace.
Southwark police have released the image of the three teenagers, two girls and one boy, taken from a street CCTV camera at the time of the incident.
It is believed that Kilo the cat was thrown into the River Thames from the gangway connecting HMS Belfast to the riverside walkway on Saturday 9 February 2008.
- Burglary, cats savagely killed: Blackhall
A pensioner, disgusted by the savage killing of two kittens in a house break-in, has offered a £100 reward to help catch the thugs involved.
The 71-year-old said she was sickened after reading our story about how the two pets were stamped to death.
The Hartlepool woman is now putting forward almost a week's pension money in the hope it will lead to the killers being caught.
The woman, who does not want to be named, said: "I hope it encourages someone to say something.
- 18 cats die mysteriously: Bridgwater
A reward of £1,000 has today been offered for information on the mysterious deaths of 18 cats in the Bath Road and Bower Manor areas of Bridgwater.
International animal protection organisation PETA has announced the reward after a spate of antifreeze poisonings to pets over the past four months - with seven reportedly taking place in the last week alone.
Spokesman Sam Glover said, "Animal abusers are cowards.
- Help find cat's sadistic killer: Yarm, Stockton-on-tees
A distraught cat owner has launched a new appeal for information to catch the vicious killer of her pet.
Linda Stephenson's much-loved cat Miro was brutally killed by thugs who shot him in the head before stamping on him.
And a cash reward of £750 is now being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed the vicious act.
"Everyone has been supportive and helpful but we have no positive information as yet," Linda said.
- Reward offered over 'savage' attack on cat: Livingston
A £1000 reward has been offered by a businessman for information after a vicious attack on a pet cat.
As reported in Saturday's Evening News, the animal was savagely attacked and killed by two dogs in Livingston.
Now a Midlothian businessman wants to help catch those responsible.
Ron Davidson, 61, of Bilston Glen, said: "If these people can do this to an animal then they can do it to a child.

A member of the public has come forward offering a reward for information to find the offender who shot a cat in Beanhill, Milton Keynes last week.
The member of the public is offering a £500 reward to anyone who comes forward with any information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender.
Margaret Roberts from Chervil, Beanhill, reported the incident to the police on Tuesday 21 October after vet's confirmed that Lukie had been shot with what appears to be an air weapon at close range.
