The incident happened at around 1.30am on Sunday November 23, 2008 as the victim and his girlfriend were walking along Manor Road towards Knighton Grange Road.
As they approached the junction with Stoughton Drive South, they became aware of three men standing on the corner of the road.
As they passed them continuing onto Stoughton Drive South, one of the men asked the victim for a cigarette.
The victim said he didn't smoke and carried on walking but the man kept attempting to talk to the victim.
The victim was then pushed over from behind by one of the men and one of the others punched him.
They demanded money from the victim and he handed over what money he had and the men walked off towards Manor Road.
The man who pushed over the victim is described as white, aged between 18 and 20-years-old, around 6'1" tall and of a slim build. He had a grey top with the hood up and jogging bottoms. He also spoke with a local accent.
The man who punched the victim is described as of dual heritage appearance, around 5'8" tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a dark hooded top.
The third man is described as white and between 18 and 20-years-old.
