Cycling enthusiasts are being urged to help police track down expensive performance bikes stolen from a house near Lichfield.
Officers think bike shop owners or keen riders might be approached and asked to buy the custom built machines worth around £10,000.
Five cycles were stolen by thieves who broke into the garage of a house at Colton, near Lichfield.
The theft was discovered on Thursday morning (20 November 2008), when the owner checked his premises.
Thieves took a specially built Somec bike, worth £3,500 as well as a Carerra Barloworld and Billato cycle.
They also stole two other cycles, a Pennarola painted cream with blue graphics and a white and silver Borghini.
Staffordshire police are urging anyone with information about the theft to contact them on 0300 123 4455 or, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
Calls to Crimestoppers are free from landlines and callers do not have to leave their name or give any information which may identify them
People giving information may be able to claim a reward for the arrest and conviction of offenders.
