  • Reward as brick thrown at train injures driver: Hockley (£1,000.00 Reward)

    British Transport Police has released a further appeal for witnesses after a large brick was thrown at a moving train near to Hockley railway station, smashing the drivers cab window and narrowly missing the driver.

    A £1,000 reward has been offered by National Express East Anglia for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any offender(s).

  • Reward offered as two cars stolen: North Greetwell, Lincs (£1,000.00 Reward)

    The victims of a burglary have today offered a £1000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the offenders.  Two cars were stolen following the burglary in North Greetwell.  It is thought that the cars may have been taken from around 0330 hrs on the 28th November. 

    The first car, a yellow Subaru was later found in collision with a lamp post on Queen Mary Road in Lincoln at 0450 hrs.  A man was seen running from the car towards Talawney Crescent. 

  • Appeal for images of arson 'crime scene': Newby Crescent, Harrogate (£5,000.00 Reward)

    Detectives investigating an arson attack in Harrogate that left a 93-year-old woman critically ill in hospital are appealing for any photographic images taken at the fire scene to be handed into the police.

    Yuen Har Ho was in the ground floor flat when the blaze was deliberately started in the area directly outside the entrance to two flats on Newby Crescent, in the Jennyfields area of the town, at 7.20pm on Saturday 1 November.

    She suffered from smoke inhalation and remains in a critical condition at Harrogate District Hospital.

  • Reward as air rifle fired at train windscreen: Saint Erth (£1,000.00 Reward)

    British Transport Police (BTP) detectives are appealing for witnesses after a pellet from an air rifle was fired at a train windscreen near to Saint Erth Railway Station.

    A £1,000 reward has been offered by First Great Western for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any offender(s).

    The incident happened around 10.15pm on Wednesday, 26 November, as the 22:00 Penzance to London Paddington service passed under an over-bridge approximately 3 miles south of Saint Erth Station.

    Reward offered for fly-tipping information: Colwall Parish (£300.00 Reward)

    Rewards totalling £300 have been offered by local businessmen for information resulting in convictions for fly-tipping in Colwall Parish.

    Problems have arisen in the area with illegally dumped household rubbish, building rubble and garden waste.

    Graffiti spree: Cleveleys (£100.00 Reward)

    Police in Cleveleys are appealing for information after a graffiti spree in the town.

    Anyone who provides information that leads to a conviction may be eligible to claim a £100 reward as part of the Northern Division's ‘Name the Tag' scheme run in conjunction with Crimestoppers.

    The graffiti has been splashed around the town centre of Cleveleys in recent days.

    The majority of the damage was caused down an alley which is just off the main street.

    An advertisment place in The Orcadian (Newspaper) reads as follows:

    A reward of up to £100,000 is hereby offered for information in connection with the murder of Shamsuddin Mahmood within the Mumtaz Restaurant, Kirkwall, Orkney Islands on 2nd June 1994.

    I, the advertiser, wish to remain anonymous but believe there has been a miscarrage of justice in the conviction of Michael Ross.

    Detective Inspector Heather Pearson, who is leading the investigation, is urging members of the public who took photographs of the fire to get in touch with the enquiry team as soon as possible.

    "When the emergency services arrived at the flats to rescue Mrs Ho and deal with the fire, quite a large group of people from the local community were within the area and observed the events," said DI Pearson.

    Reward for recovery of historic coin collection: Scottish Borders (£50,000.00 Reward)

    A £50,000 reward is being offered for information that could help police to bring the return of an historic collection of coins to their rightful owner.

    This reward is believed to be the biggest unclaimed sum available for the return of stolen goods in Scotland today.

    The coins were stolen from the home of Lord and Lady Stewartby in Broughton, near Peebles in the Scottish Borders, overnight between June 6 - 7 last year.

    Reward to catch barn arsonists: Hawthorn, Corsham (£10,000.00 Reward)

    Fire swept through the barn at Clouds Farm, Hawthorn, near Corsham, at 5am on October 9th and destroyed hundreds of tons of hay and straw as well as farm machinery valued at many of thousands of pounds.

    The owners of the property, brothers Clive and Frank Freeman, have been left devasted by the arson attack.

  • Reward for capture of curry muggers: Fareham (£500.00 Reward)

    A reward of £500 has been put up for the capture of a pair who smother elderly victims' faces in a hot sauce before robbing them.

    A member of the public approached Hampshire Police with the reward offer after reading about the bizarre crimes.

    The offence occured shortly before midday on Monday, September 22th when a man pushed curry or chilli sauce into the face of an 85-year-old woman as she walked through Boots in Fareham.

    The offender's female accomplice then stole the pensioner's purse, containing £300, from the bag on her walking frame.

    Two rare Kune Kune pigs stolen: Thorpe Lane, Ipswich (£750.00 Reward)

    Police are appealing for information following the theft of two rare breed pigs, Bramley and Pippin, from a farm at Thorpe Lane, Trimley, between 5.30pm on Wednesday 5 and 8am yesterday, Thursday 6 November.

    The Kune Kune pigs were taken from a pen at the site and are thought to have been herded into a vehicle to be driven away.

    Police are asking anyone with information about the theft or the current whereabouts of the pigs to call PC 1534 Logan at Felixstowe Police on 01473 613500.

  • Reward offered as statue stolen from garden: Leverington Common, Cambs (£500.00 Reward)

    A reward is being offered to anyone who can help a Leverington Common home owner find a statue that was pilfered from his garden.

    The five-foot-tall concrete statue of a woman was taken when the culprits entered the garden through the orchard at the back of the barn conversion in Leverington Common, Leverington, Wisbech. The statue is white and it has distinctive brown stains on the left arm.

    The Gala Coral Group is also offering a £500 reward for any information that leads to the conviction of the offender.

    The incident, in which a man gained entry to the cash office of the Gala Bingo on Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, happened around 9.30am on Sunday, 28 September 2008.

    The man entered through an open fire exit door, before taking a quantity of cash - the exact amount of which is not being released - and escaping along Christchurch Road.

    Bristol detectives have issued an appeal to members of the public and traders to be aware - if offered quantities of cheap cigarettes.

    It follows a number of robberies at small businesses across Bristol over the past three months in which cash and cigarettes have been taken.

    Police believe the same suspects have been involved in the raids and have now released images in the hope it might jog people's memories and lead to their successful arrest.
